This could be happening since, #head might NOT be unique in your DOM. Therefore, it could help if you get more selective for your .html('<selector...>') substitution.
Also, I think it would be better if you think of another way to scale your mobile browser check. Because, this regex match, shown above, could get very hard to maintain for new mobile browser versions (IMHO).
I am working on a website and a part of it involves interpreting whether the website is opened on a mobile or a desktop. I am using client side User agent string for this purpose. The console.log does work fine which means there is no problem in code functionality but I think there is some issue with the loading of the DOM elements. I tried to change the html outside the function and it does work.
